The information and questions found in this FOOD AROUND THE USA webquest are very useful for students to practice food related activities and also for seeing how advertising and shopping works like on the internet. It could either work for food vocabulary learning or other things such as offering goods and services and working in groups for reaching a goal. It would be pretty useful for any class-related task we can think of.

What I do in the Classroom

I start the class by asking the students to tell me what they have prepared for the project that will be carried out that day, for example, to tell the class about the news they brought, or the readings they made, or the listening they will do in the class. Next I check homework. I always do. It is very important for me to give them homework so that they can practice a little bit at home. After that I go on with a listening exercise (taken from the book) that I previously chose especially for the class. Then I work a little bit with the book and the workbook. That takes me most of the classtime. I finidh my class with a speaking exercise... and of course, giving them homework for the next day!

Project Work

I agree with the idea of having the same level for two cycles because when making mini-projects with the students it is possible to analyze more deeply their progress, make follow-up and make the necessary adjustments in order to improve the process. Now, when making the same project with a partner, I have to say that I personally dislike the idea because I am an intrapersonal professional, and find it easier to carry on processes and projects by myself.

Instructional Design

I think it's great. It takes into consideration all the necessary steps for planning a successful class. They all follow a comprehensive sequence and are easy to use with whatever kind of skill (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and these same steps can be applied when using technology in the classroom.
